Mark Fulop (2014), a noted strategic consultant, has said of theory of change: "As an opening premise to strategic thinking, I contend that the foundation for nonprofit strategy is an organization's theory of change. . . A theory of change describes how your nonprofit organization connects its activities to create a pathway towards the goals and outcomes associated with your organizational mission."
As a former funder, I believe a theory of change is one of the most important documents you can share with funders, your board and your community. All nonprofits seeking funding should be prepared to share their theory of change.
Up to 8 organizations can join this cohort of learners. The Learning Community will learn, work, share and collaborate in helping each organization develop their theory of change. The learning community will meet four times in three months. Each participant will receive one-on-one coaching and personal support, and unlimited telephone support during and after the three month period.
